Lakewood Gardens Memory Care offers many activities throughout the day to entertain and stimulate our residents’ minds as well as exercise their bodies.  We feature a planned calendar of daily activities that offer our residents a nice routine they can depend on, and that keeps them engaged as well.

 

Mornings here usually start with a nice stretch and something active to get the body moving. We often follow that with a sing along, a word or trivia game, or story telling.  Afternoons offer a series of choices in games like bowling, ring toss, badminton, shuffle board, or gardening, walking, puzzles, a cooking class.  The ever-popular game of Bingo is almost always on the daily schedule as residents love it when we play that.  Evenings feature game shows or the news that the residents can take part in, or movies where residents can just hang out and relax.  They can also join in on an evening activity.  We have our Crochet Club, where one can craft headbands, scarfs, or hats, or some may want to assemble a puzzle in our Puzzle Club.
